Thanks, yeah I like the old Blue too.

I would imagine the v6 to use rubber gaskets as well and if so you don't need to get new ones.

All those bays look GREAT.

Viperrmk I like that you matched your colors to your CAI, looks really good. I also really like your mustang logo on the covers, just need some cleaning around that eng bay now and you will be ready for the show. My valve covers ended up not matching anything, lol.

You should send a picture to Jack himself on your engine bay. He might use te paint scheme of your covers on his next project car. How did you get that effect. Looks good. Be interesting for someone to come up with a set painted luminescent blue that glows at night...

There's a company that air brushes them. Pretty costly...

15 Hours!!! I don't understand what the heck takes you guys so long to do this...

9 coats of primer/paint/clear and 10 minute between coats. 1.5 hours plus the 5 minutes it takes to paint each coat. So we are looking at 2 hour 15 minutes in paint.

I would recommend letting dry over night, but whatever. You can't count that as time it took, that's just not fair...

Then it only take no more than 2 hours by yourself 1.5 hours with help to uninstall and reinstall...

So why is it I keep reading 9 hour 15 hours 6 hours, WHAT GIVES!?!?!? (OH YEAH AND THAT INCLUDES PAINTING THE THROTTLE BODY TOO!!!

lovin the underhood dress up booshezy.. what kind of material is the fuse box cover you have there?

I actually did not mean for those to turn out that color, I wanted them darker, heh. But they have grown on me. I had a local paint shop paint them; the effect is called real fire.

Thanks for all the complements guys.

BlueRoush- your engine bay is amazing. remember seeing your post a little while back about your valve covers and thought they where just stunning.

So is the removal process the same on a V6 as a GT? I wouldn't think so. Also when I do this I think it would probably be smart to get new gaskets...anyone have an idea what those run?
The removal process is not the same as the GT. You can follow Tacobills write up for removing them but its really not the same. And remember the bolts DO NOT come out all the way, you will feel when thay are free. But removing them can be a little pain in the ***, and some little tips I found out to help is to remove the driers side cover you have a fuel line that runs over the top of the cover. Follow that line down and there is going to be a bracket around the header. Loosen that bolt so that it can give you some slack in the line and you can get the cover out. For the passenger side there is a bolt on the back of the engine that is holding a bracket on as well. Loosen that so you can have some play in the electrical lines to get the cover in and out.
