Another good thread I'm bringing back.
Anyone with cams installed got input on the performance that they offer? I'm getting all the supporting mods first but my financial situation may just allow me to get p/p heads and a camshaft. I do not have any desire for FI, at least not until I get my camshaft in. I love the classic muscle car sound over a whine any day.
As this is my DD at least until I pay it off in the next year or so, what kind of MPG decrease did you see?

ah... did not know that. so if somewhere way down the line I put on FI after cams I would have to get them adjusted? which would mean crazy install prices?

i dont think adjusted is the right word....its call take the old ones out and buy and install a new set
I think you can get by with FI cams on a NA car and vica versa, but they wont give you good gains, they make different sets for each application.
Go to comp's site and look at the 15+ models/stages they have for our cars and you get the idea that you need to know exactly what setup you want for you application
