I'd like to second the advice from kenthicken about your age. I'm 17 and I drive a GT (and as you can see below have a fair amount of mods). The few times I've posted my age (I usually don't because of this exact reason) I've been accused of being spoiled, too young to have such a nice car, not a good enough driver, etc.

The thing is, people don't know me (or you, or a lot of other members) well enough to make such accusations. For example, people who say that it is dangerous for me to have this car because I am not a good enough driver probably don't know that I've been driving since I was 13. People who call me spoiled don't know that I've worked very hard for very long to pay for this car and all of the mods I've put into it.

Don't let people rain on your parade. If you are spoiled, at least you can admit it and not worry about it. If your parents want to buy you a nice car, who's to say they can't? At least they are being smart about it.

With all of that being said, I suggest an intake/tune combo as well. AK_Kayaker recommended Bamachips for your tune, because you have an automatic transmission. Even though this is the general consensus when it comes to automatic transmissions, I have both Bamachips and Brenspeed tunes and I much prefer both Brenspeed's tunes and service. Either way, good luck with your modding!

Congrats on the car......honestly, I'm 33 and if I could get my parents to pay for a few of my upgrades I would still let them. LOL

Good luck with the new car, treat it well and it will treat you back.
if your on your parents dime, id say look at very small appearance mods if you really want to get mods done.

its an amazing first car, and your very luck to have it, so try and take things slow and just enjoy the car before you really over think changing it around, you might just find out you love it as is.

Congrats on the car. I'd say take it slow, readthe various internet Mustang forums. look at pics, go to some local car shows, talk to fellow owners and really get a cohesive plan for how you want the car to look/sound/perform before you spend a dime.

well first of all congrats on the car. second of all if ur old enough to have a license ur old enough to drive a stang. im 23 and this is my 3rd stang (03v6,05gt, and my current 07 see sig) chip and tune is the first thing to get i would recommend diablosport predator tuner and a C&L intake. for the exhaust i would def look up the different brands on youtube so u can get the exhaust sound u want (IE: bassani, magnaflow, borla, boomtubes, etc) now do u want to stick with single or go duel exhaust. good luck with everything

Get the GT take-off sway bars under there ASAP along with
Prothane Poly bushings. It will handle like a go cart on steroids.

my dad wanted me to get a v6 too, but him growing up in the 60's and 70's and having bought himself brand new chevelle's and vette's he knew how it was and that he couldnt let his son roll around in a v6, plus i told him if he wanted to buy me a v6 then he could but since i was spending my own money im getting what i want (only 17)...i owe $5000 more on it and have over $5000 in upgrades lol, but im paying for all the car, all my upgrades, and all of my insurance and havnt been in any wrecks or anything, so i just tell me rents to back off unless they wanted to pay for it, (but since they would rather me to it then they just sit back and watch me flush all my money into my car) lol
