Default Catalytic Converter

Has anyone with a 05-07 installed a muffler without the catalytic converter. What differences are there other than the sound?

Maybe it's just me, but throttle response is a little different, meaning that I barely press the gas pedal driving down the interstate and I'm going 80+! But I'm also running an aftermarket CAI with a programmer.

There is night and day difference in sound. An exhaust setup without cats is CRAZY (aka **** off the neighbors) loud.

the law enforcement depends on where you're from. most areas have emissions laws, and you could get into trouble if you get pulled over and they stick some measuring device in your tailpipe to measure your exhaust content. I have yet to be pulled over, but I am a lot more cautious nowadays. I'm always on the lookout for John Q. Law![sm=bustedsign.gif] there's no point in getting a $100-300 ticket if you don't have to.
