lol iono. My brother has crashed his car TWICE already, both his fault and still he wasnt forced to have his name go under my folks insurance. Maybe its because we have different addresses on our DL because we live at another house for school, away from our parents.
It is bc you are in the immediate family. Atleast that is how it works with statefarm. If permission is given by the insuree on the car, then the car is covered even if that person does not have a license.(thats how I am insured aswell but I am the primary driver on a focus.)

Mustangs are expensive to insure, even when older. I'm older(40's) and the Mustang ($715/yr) costs more to insure than the Vette ($637/yr).

I guess it's cuz they figure Vettes are mostly owned by old farts who only drive them when they meet up w/ other old farts down at Hooters to grope waitresses who are young enough to be their grand-daughters.

I pay 748 every six months. $100 deductibles w/ 0 deduc on glass. One not-at-fault rear ending 4.5 years ago and a recent speeding ticket. When I go back to Arizona, my insurance is going to increase to just under double. Under my own name, not my parents.

I just did a quote with USAA (im army) and Liberty mutual, Im 21, clean driving record and for a 2008 GT, they quoted me at $360 a month and I did a payment estimator for if I were to get the car, and it was $267 a month for 5 years with a 6K down payment. $720+ a month for a mustang is insane... Unless I can get cheaper insurance, Ill be getting something else. Even though Im just about 4-5 months away from getting one and want a stang and have for years.

I can't put it under my moms name, only because if I got a personal loan, I dont have collateral for the loan and their home/cars arent paid off so they dont either. Which sucks.

Reading this thread makes me sooooo happy to be 26! Some of you guys' monthly insurance payments alone are higher than my car payment! Holy crap!

I live in GA im 21 my insurance is in my name and i only pay 468 every 6 months with liability if i was to get full coverage it would be right around 600 every 6 months . Also i have a discount for having a 3.5 GPA. But i do have 1 reckless driving ticket 110 in a 55 in a state Park but still if i switched to full coverage i would still be paying less then almost all of you. But I drive a 1997 gt so the year might do something when having an insurance quote

I pay a little over $300 for a whole year (liability only). The car is under my mom's name and its "her" 3rd car. It is registered in PA because NYC insurance would kill me.
