It really depends on ur parents record with the insurance company, how many wreck you, or anyone in your family has been in. I drive an 07 v6 and my brother drives an 08 GT. we are both under 20 and our insurance is really reasonable because of these factors.

On my own policy with no one else on it
No points against me

05 GT Full Coverage
00 Mitsubish Galant (daily driver liability coverage only)

$475 every 6 months, with 750 deductible

Thats a big thing to look at alot of people have a 250 deductible raising it to 500 or 750 can make a drastic difference in what you pay

I am 35 and adding the mustang added $50 a month for full coverage, that is with my wife having an accident on her record with the insurance company we are with, doesn't cost any more to insure my car over the mini van.

I saw some guy on here paying $414 a month, holy crap, I think I would walk if it cost that much

dont get me wrong here guys becasue I dont know you personally or you situation but...

I have always had to pay my own way. There is no way I could afford those insurance payments when i was in my teens or early 20's.

It has taken me until now (30 years old) to be able to comfortably afford a sports car.

I currently pay about 90 a month to insure three cars. (A mustang GT, an 05 Escape and a 07 nissan)

300 a month for one car? wow... just wow

$150/month for comprehensive coverage with $1000 deductibles all around with State Farm in Houston, TX.

23, Single, Male, Unmarried with a V8 engine and a convertible. I doubt I could do more to increase my rates without getting a ticket.

Oh wait...yes I could. Got in a wreck that cost State Farm about $15k all around. Before that, I think I was at like $110/month?

Hopefully that data point helps ya.
