Default Stimulus Check Upgrades

I finally recieved my stimulus check this past monday and I just spent it wisely and when my wife finds out I will most likely be sleeping in my car

I got the roush cold air intake, roush rear wing and upgraded my exhaust with the cat-back exhaust system. I cant wait especially becaue these will be my first mods ever on my car. Depending on when the wife finds out I hope to add a new tune for my birthday. I do have a question about the new cold air intake, do I need to get it tuned right away or can I wait?Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

The Roush intake does not require a tune. I would recommend getting a different intake, one that does require a tune.

Throttle bodies are useless unless you're pushing big number 550+whp. You'll gain nothing from a bigger throttle body on a normally aspirated engine.

I guess this is why we still have people buying them and then coming on the board within a week saying the car is broke!

The roush intake is made by airaid which has a removable retrictor for modded engines.

For all the $$ I've thrown into my wifes Vette over the last 4 years, I get pretty much free reign on Mustang parts. Until I start catching up to her at the track, then I'm guessing it's equal $$ for both. Hell, she wants a Procharger but I'm the voice of fiscal reason.

I guess if you are a big fan of Rousch then thats cool to go all Rousch.. Personally I don't think much of their performance parts andI think there are better looking exterior mods as well. (And I believe Rousch is usually more expensive than alternatives).. Good luck. If you are looking for performance then get a tune right away and make sure they remove the restrictor in there when they do it.. You'll notice a big difference (you can always get a mail order tune from brenspeed or bama)

i had a BBK throttle body w/ C&L Street kit on my 06 for over a year, 19k miles, no problems. havnt done it yet on my 07, i probably wont either. but what about my Lightning? would you advise doing a throttlebody/cai on a lightning?
