consistent mid 12s?

RE: consistent mid 12s?
thanks for the advice jwgroovin, i don't have much money to sling around so i was just looking at minor things that would give me a slight edge, as it all adds up in the end.
i'm not on DRs or slicks, i'm ripping constant 1.9 60fts and i know i can do better. i want to stay with street tires for now.
i'm working on seat time, i go to the track whenever there is an opportunity.
on the street, no wheelhop but sometimes at the track i get a little bit of wheelhop on my launches.
removing the passenger seat is a no go as my girlfriend comes to the track with me lol, perfer to stay full interior at the time being.
as far as handling goes, eh i got a WRX with full suspension and a VERY aggressive alignment/cornerbalance.
i'll probably try to find a good deal on alu DS as that seems like the next big thing to help with ETs.
so in recap:
tune tire pressures and shock settings.... more seat time
bmr swaybar delete
spydershaft driveshaft
what about UCAs? i'm looking for anything that will help... even by a little.
pullies are cheap enough, i think i should just go ahead and get them unless you really don't think it would be worth it.
i have a question on tire pressures, i know that dropping them will result in more grip... but how low do i go and how low is TOO low?

RE: consistent mid 12s?
Well, you haven't said why you don't get consistent 12's. Is it wheel slip? engine bogging down? missing shift?
Be that as it may I would first get either DR's or just plain wider rubber, next in order would be a UCA. Steeda's competition UCA is the best out there IMO. Next would be an aluminum driveshaft such as spyder's. Next would be relocation brackets, and finally a better diff like a detroit tru trac.
Iput those recomendationsin the order I feel that is most useful and practical for everyday driving while giving you the most bang for your buck at the track. Hope this helps.

RE: consistent mid 12s?
so do UCAs actually make a difference?
nooo, i average high 12s right now but i can get better.
i want my car to be able to do consistent MID 12s though.
i know wider rubber / DRs would be great but my goal is to do it on these 255/50 street tires

If it's not a traction issue ( I doubt) then for $750 the UDP's and aluminum driveshaft will get you to where you want to be.

RE: consistent mid 12s?
I would say drag radials, LCAs and the MSD Launch Master will probably get you close to what you're looking for. With the mods you have, you could easily shave .2 off your 60', if not .3. The mods I mentioned would drastically cut down your 60', and if you got the 60' down to 1.6 or 1.7, you'd be right around 12.5-12.7.
4.10's and street tires at the track don't mix. This is why your 60's are not good. You can't have it both ways. Either you want to run street tires, or you want to run mid 12's. You have to decide. With drag radials, you could be launching at 5k+ and be running closer to what you're wanting.
