Are you running the stock tube or replacemnt elbow from Steeda with the CAI?

EDIT: I went out and cleaned the MAF sensor again. It's really clean now, and I still have the problem, so that doesn't seem to be the source.

Okay, I know this has been discussed to death, but I have to take my Mustang in to the dealer tomorrow. I took off the CAI and restored the factory tune just to keep from even getting into a discussion with them. But is there anything else I need to do to make sure that they don't even suspect that the car has had a CAI installed on it?

anything your having serious mechanical work done I would probably remove the Tune cause they might run your computer but the CAI is fine on there.
unless you suspect that they caused the damage then yeah you better hide all evidence
btw where'd you get your stripes

Right on, sdsguy, that's what I plan to do.
I just got a call from Ford. The problem is a bad coil and plug. It's not covered under warranty because I have nearly 38,000 miles on it, and he said the 60K / 5yr drivetrain warranty only covers engine internals, not things like coils and plugs. So, they're going to charge me $245 plus tax.
During the conversation, he apologized for taking so long to diagnose the problem, since they had it from 7AM and called me at 2PM. But he said the reason was that the computer had a P1000 code, which means that the computer had been cleared. When he said that, I just said "hmmmm..." and tried to sound puzzled.

Well, the stealership just called back again at 4:30. It seems that they were having trouble even after they replaced the coil and plug, on #8, BTW. So they diagonosed again and found out that the injector was blowing the coil and fouling the plug. Well, too late to get parts today, so they will have to keep it until Monday. Oh, and now we're up to $360 with tax.
My regular mechanic told me that these digital engines are bad about blowing coils and injectors. Anybody else had trouble with coils and injectors?

BULL!!!
Call or write Ford Monday and tell them to Replace it.
I had an '05 Escape, and Coil Pak #1 went bad on it, I was 1200 Miles over the 36000 Mile Warranty and they replaced it at no cost to me. I told them bluntly, that there is NO !#@$*$ way that a Coil pak should be going bad on a vehicle that is 3 years old and taken care of as I take care of my vehicles. That and I told them I'd shove the Escape up their "Escape Hole" if they didn't fix it
Mengia (a variant of damn in italian) I really hate Dealerships, I soooo wish I could buy my vehicles Factory Direct.
