I ordered a set of the alluminum / billit AC *****.
My entire dash, radio and everything has the brushed aluminun dash kit so cosmetically they look great! Only peice of black plastic left

Very high quality ***** - machined from a solid peice of metal and great quality work on them!

First one went on easy! Pull the old one off and push the new one on.
Second one was a tad tighter, just had to push a little harder to put it on.
Third was the same.

I do not think I pushed at all hard enough to break something.....but now the second and third **** turn all the way around..
Cant check to see if they work because that trim peice is actually in my house Car is dismantled for a sound system install.

Anyone have any idea? I am worried
THey look awesome by the way Just worried about the 180 degree turning radius and seem to move a little freeer than the first one.
I think I may have pushed the black post in a little bit. That is what they feel like. Ideas?

Sorry, I can't help with your specific problem, but I would like to know where you got your aluminum dash kit. I want to do something like that too.

I got mine from car options. It is a Billet Woodview dash kit

Check the new ***** for stops. I bet they don't have any.

Like antcheers said, check for stops on the new *****. I bought the UPR ones and they didn't have any stops so the ***** turned all the way around. I created a small tab that I glued to the UPR ***** so they would hit the stops.

My kit was actually installed by the dealer but it looks identical to the SS Inserts one. They had the car tweaked aftermarket with non ford parts but I got everything and the car at factory sticker price.

The ***** do not have a stop on them! That is why they are going all the way around!

Hey Fin1 - what did you use as stops? Type of glue?
