For Florida I believe it's like the tint must allow more than 28% of light in through the front windows and more than 15% through the rear windows. Tinted windows are a good thing because believe it or not they can hold your glass together if it ever shatters. I went with 15% all around and I live in South Florida and have not gotten anything said to me. I usually drive with my windows down but I drive with them up quite often.

I had 5% all the way around. Changed to 20% after i got a ticket. But should have stuck with the 5 because, 20 doesnt make a difference unless sunlight is coming from the front then its a little bit lighter. Just go 5% on all 5.

In Florida you're allowed 20% on the rear and rear sides and 35% on front side windows. I've lived here all my driving life and have always had at least 20% all around on all my cars and have never once had a problem, even when I got my ticket for doing 90 in a 45!
