Default Messy windshield - inside

I drive my '07 GT every 7 to 10 days.

For whatever reason, there is a film that develops on the inside of the windshield. Almost as if it's a heater core leak, but it does this when the car is static. I never smell coolant.

The car is parked outside (no cover). If that helps.

Is it really the heater core leaking somehow without the car running? This stuff is pretty much evenly distributed across the windscreen, not necessarily just one section.

I've though about just throwing a couple towels on the dash. Is it possible it's fumes or something emitting from the dash?

Personally while in storage for any period of time it can develop a film on the inside of the windsheild and it is totally normal. I highly doubt it is the heater core and crack the windows if you can to exchange the air in the cabin of the car. I read you store it outdoors so you might want to invest in a high quality car cover and cover it whn not in use. Many benefits to that and the car is insulated from the outside poorly so the air gets in but not out and hence the film on the windows. It happens to me every winter but not in the summer as I store the car in the winter and even u8nder the car cover in the garage and with the windows cracked it still happens. I would not worry about it and unfortuneately it is just annoying and just have to deal with it.... JMO J

that will happen with fairly new cars for about a year. a lot of times it is the glues, oils etc....in the car giving off a invisible film.

Mine does it too and for now it has to sit outside, but I do keep a car cover over it.

I have an 08 GT and had he same problem for a little while and found that it had to do with the crappy "wonder gel" window cleaner that I was using. The filmwas really bad at night and in the rain. I switched to the "invisible glass" window cleaner and have not had a problem since.

Has anyone tried this stuff? http://www.plus-product-lines.com/ca...-view-plus.htm
It works for this interior glass hazing problem too, but its kinda pricey IMO. Not to hijack the thread, but Ihave a pre-existing problem with water spots on the outside of mywindows, what can I use to remove them? I tried the NXT stuff and it didn't work, windex didn't, the white vinagar and newspaper trick didnt work either.

If the water spots are real bad and they etched the glass then the only thing you can do is polish the glass.... I know there is a product that will do just that but cannot think of it right now![&:]
