Default Hurst Vs. MGW

Ok I'm thinking of either getting an MGW or Hurst short throw for my '05 V6 and I wanted to see if anyone had some Pros and Cons to lay out. thanks

Hurst: Cheap, notchy shifts, classic looks.

MGW: Expensive, adjustable, smooth shifts.

I actually like the Hurst shifter. I've had it on my car now for about 35,000 miles, no rattles. I recently bought a custom shift **** and replaced the white ball, but really I like that too, so maybe i'll switch them out periodically?

MGW! MGW! MGW! I have Hurst and JUST took it out. It always rattled and had a cheap feel to it but I put up with it for the amazing looks and great short notchy shifting. Somehow recently it even made a nasty noise around turns and bumps so I took it out. I dont like the stock look or long throws but Im glad to have a quiet rattle free shift for once.

I can't wait to get rid of it and buy an MGW!!!!!!!

I haven't tried a Hurst before, but I installed my MGW today and it was a smooth install. It is possibly the best packaged/labeled package I have received. Everything is very well organized and the install directions are detailed, along with the cd containing videos, you have all the information you need.

I also appreciate being to adjust the shifter's throw and height however much I want.

FYI, I also bought MGW's race ****. It looks very OEM (for those of you who perfer it) and it fits my grip styles well. I don't like the overhand grip as much compared to the stock ****, but I really like the side grip. It fits very comfortably.

I have seen and shifter hurst shifters, but never a mgw. I would think that the hurst is better for jamming the gears and racing. I could be wrong though.
