im in Texas also however im in a county that doesnt do emission testing. all they do is test blinkers, lights, and brakes. it takes like 5 mins and that includes paying them also lol. i know alot of the northern counties are more strict.im in san antonio. might wanna see if there is a county near you that isnt that hard on testing.

The car has to be tested in the county that it is registered in. I live in an emissions county and had to replace the cat on my truck but havent had to test the stang yet.

I moved to Dallas recently and I'm going to have to register the Mustang soon. I e-mailed Doug at BamaChips to ask about the emissions friendliness of my race tune. I'll post back here with his reply...

I live in Dallas, too. I have an 07, but I haven't done my first inspection yet. (Texas doesn't require the first inspection until a car is 2 years old.) It's coming up this month, though, I think. Please report back how your inspection went.

And if there's anyone else from Dallas or Houston that has a tune, how did your inspection go? It doesn't take that long to go back to stock, but I hate having to do it.

I think I may have to get it inspected because I'm bringing it in from out-of-state. I'll check into that though...
