Default lower control arm ?

a while ago i asked what ppl recommended in addition to a whipple HO. i was told lower control arms. i know nothing about suspension, my weak spot in cars. here is my question, i found what i think may be a good set from steeda. now they have adjustable and nonadjustable. do i really need adjustable? are lower control arms different than trailer arms? what the heck do these things do anyway? would i need upper control arms to go with the lca? suspension really makes me confused. thanks to anyone in advance that can break it down w/o making me feel like a idiot

Are you planning on lowering the car (a lot of your answers will depend on this, adj. vs. non-adj., etc)?

BMR makes great suspension parts.

No, an upper control arm is not required when replacing LCAs.

i dont want to lower it anymore, it already has that FR3 kit on. i would like to add to the suspension. i would like to eliminate wheel hop that i know will occur with that whipple

I'm not sure if Shelby GT has the same LCA's as the regular GT. I'd check with the dealer and see if the part numbers for both are the same. If not, I'd go with adjutable ones, because non-adj. are gonna be the same length as the GT ones and therefore your pinion angle will be off. If the part numbers are the same though, just get the non-adjustable ones and you'll be fine. And yeah those should eliminate the wheel hop.

Get adjustable if lowered or going to lower. Or if you plan on using some make/models of aftermarket driveshafts.

Supposedly the spydershaft does not require pinion angle adjustments in order to be vibration free. Or so I have read around here.

Get the GT500 LCAs. www.mossmustang.com .
They even come with the one time use fasteners.
At $100 its a steal as the fastners cost almost
$40 alone from the stealership.
