How much louder????

RE: How much louder????
I'm not sure what you are referring to as a pypes muffler delete kit. Pypes makes a violater muffler(this was my 3rd exhaust system) and a mid muffler system which i'm running now. They are a muffler, just not much of one...straight through...no baffles just some raised scallops. I have them facing rearward so the exhaust just blows past them. I am also running dynatech long tubes and a high flow catted x. It is loud! It's loud on start up, but then settles down a bit. When you romp it...you hear it from a LONG way off. Someone mentioned nascar loud. Let me tell you about nascar loud. Try running lt's, o/r xpipe, then straight pipes through 3"x15" tips. I tried this for a bit. It was during the winter so i would crack the garage door just enough to where the exhaust tips were exposed. then i would fire it up to let it warm...when that engine turned over and the rpms went up...it would fire a concussion off that would reverberate off the house across the street then you would FEEL it come back! That was LOUD. Couldn't hear the radio at ALL just put puttin' along. I changed it out, it was too much. Some poor lady (bless her heart) was on her way to work and stopped next to me a light. When it turned green I was a little enthusiastic on the throttle and it scared the crap out of her and she spilled her McDonald's coffee all over her business suit. I felt horrible. I apologized to her though. I am thinking about going back to an O/R x with the LT's. But instead i'll just spend the money on a set of quicktime electic cut outs that way i can control when it's super loud. Sorry this is so long. Exhaust is something i've experimented quite a bit with on these cars. Finally got the sound i wanted.

I'm thinking about going with electric cutouts too. Let me know how it works out.
