hello all

im looking to purchase either a 2005 or a 2006 mustang gt. i hear the 2005"s had some problems? what are they and what should i look for?

 

hood corrosion...

went to the dealer the other week and all the 2005/6s on display had rust bubbles developing on the edge of the hood. so bad!

 

is the hood corrosion part of a recall? what about mechanical problems with 2005-2006"s

 

front popping noise while making low speed turns

Fuel tank issue

Asst rear suspension issues

 

Not yet. The hood is aluminum and the problem is with some contaminents on the front lip at the factory that cause the paint to bubble. The front "clunk" noise is strut tower bushings and may have been replaced by now under warranty. Take a look see at the list of TSB's for that year for a complete list.
