Default Borla...

Well as some of you know I had a JBA H-pipe and Borla Stingers put on my V6. First off, I'm impressed with the mufflers, they sound great. When I got it back from the shop my car looked like this...

Anyway, those tips are too low! I told the owner of the shop, and he said there was nothing he could do. He told me to complain to Borla . Well it finally bugged me enough to take my car to a Meineke(I hope this was a good choice, b/c there's not many shops around here). The guys at Meineke bent the hangers using a torch and a wrench. Itset me back50 bucks [:@]. It definately looks better though, here's a pic...

Now this looks alot better. Will they hold now? They had the left muffler a little bit higher , but when they went to move the right one up there was a problem.

The muffler is too close to the nut on the hanger. If it went any higher it would rattle, so theymoved the leftmuffler backdown to even them. They said it was poor design by Borla. I still love the sound, and I think my mufflers look great now but I am a little upset with Borla...

Any input is welcome

I think pretty much every axleback is going to do the same. Some will look perfect out of the box some might take a bit of manipulation to make them look right. I have a set of Steedas (same as the stingers) and the right one looks perfect while the left one sits a little low. It bugged me the night I put them on but it was too dark to fix after. A few days later I didn't even notice it was so slight and neither did anyone else unless I pointed it out. Maybe it's something I"ll correct when I'm bored, but I'm in no rush atm.

Well its been a while but I'm glad some people posted.

I guess it takes a little work, but I'm happy with how they look now.
