Default Viper Security Alarm System

I just installed the Viper System on my 2005 V6 Mustang and I have to say its pretty badass. Parts and labor cost me $600 flat. Motion sensors were gonna beanother $100 but I didn't think I needed that.

I have all the factory security stuff. Like pressing the UNLOCK button once and only unlocking the driver side door and pressing UNLOCK twice and doing both doors. I have the LOCK feature with 5 different levels of locking security. I can open up the trunk with it as well as put the car into panic mode. But the best feature is probably the REMOTE START. I have Flowmasters so when I remote start it, you can definately notice it. It's funny to see peoples faces when I remote start it and no one is in the car and its this loud, deep sound.

It also has the feature where if you hit on any of the glass windows it will chirp the alarm and if hard enough, make it go off completely. And whats really awesome is the fact that your remote comes with a small screen so you can see whats going on with your car. And it has a one mile range! My factory remote, I had to be within 20 feet of my car, it really sucked.

It gives me a piece of mind especially when college starts back up in the Fall and I'm in a classroom halfway across campus with my car in a parking lot full of old Toyotas and Nissans with bad paint jobs and rusted parts.

Now, if only it would drive to me...

Turn the sensitivity almost all the way down or prepare to have it go off every 10 minutes. I am curious though to know how far you can actually go and still have range.

Too long range can be bad too, the thieves are getting clever, they hang around and scan your remote code with a tranceiver, then activate it when you're gone.

Nah, the sensitivity is just right. If a loud exhaust or loud sound system is nearby, it only chirps, it doesn't go off. And if thats so, I can lock it using 1 of the 5 LOCK levels, turning off that specific mechanism but still having the alarm activated.

Factory ALARM? There's no alarm. Just remote entry lol. I've been pondering getting a Viper system myself. Getting my windows tinted tomorrow and this may be the next thing to do tomorrow.
