Installed Magnaflow - my thoughts...

RE: Installed Magnaflow - my thoughts...
wait until you do more exhaust work. I am running the magnaflow catback as well. I agree, it wasnt really too much louder, just a much desirable tone compared to stock. I ended up putting longtubes and a catless x pipe. The magnaflows start sounding like their name... they get pretty loud at WOT and just reving... or idle...

Thanks for the feedback. FYI, these are the regular mufflers, not the magnapacks. From prior experience on other cars, the cats really strangle the sound, so a catless h/x is in my future. But as I said, the quality of the setup is very, very nice. Even nicer is that I got 'em at jobber cost - $280 for the axle-back setup.

I have the same mufflers on my car and I agree that they're only a better and deeper sounding muffler, but not any louder than the stockers. I still have my stock H-Pipe so I'd love to hear what someone has to say about the way these mufflers sound with an O/R pipe.

I've had the same thing with my axel backs, MRT (Mustang Race Tech) sells a custom h pipe with high flow cats and it will really make's it sound good. I was able to hear the set up at there shop. its about $500.00, bolt on, and stainless steal. I plan to pick one up at the next open house they have in the fall.
