Default Trip to the dealer. Questions.

So my front suspension started clunking and as i read here it should be a strut mount so monday the plan is to take it to the dealership for oil change, airbag recall, and to check my mounts.

First of all should i throw in my stock tune? Times before i just told them not to flash it and all was well but now with the need to reprogram the airbag i'm not sure if its going to mess up my tune.

Second, i recently threw in a front and back sways.Think they might say the noise is comin from there even tho theres a Ford TSB on thestrut mount?

Kepp in mind i'm tryin to get this done under warranty.

Any advice to save me some trouble from those clowns would be great. Thank you in advance.

I think you'll be fine leaving the sway bars in, but I would definitely switch back to the stock tune.

If you remove the custom CAI tune and reload the stock tune,
remove the CAI and replace it with the stock airbox at the same time.
Check your front sway bar end links for tightness before heading to the dealership.
These have been know to produce a lot of unwanted front end noise.
Check the front sway bar OEM rubber bushings for wear as well if they were used.
Make sure they install the new improved upper strut mounts (8R3Z-18183-A).
I would personally go for the beefier GT500 upper strut mounts and by-pass
the 'improved' ones. But under warranty work requires they use what Ford desires.

The AirBag recall involves reprogramming the RestraintControlModule, not the PCM.
They should not flash the PCM tune but that does not mean that they wont.

You might have an issue if they 'flash' the PCM tune. It might change the 'stratagy code'.
The numbers you got off the sticker on the PCM when you ordered the aftermarket 'tunes'.
Not 100% sure about this but it might cause you problems when reloading the custom tunes.

Plug the tuner in and check the strategy now, write it down. Then check it when you get the car back. If it's different, Brenspeed will give you the right tunes.

+1 on checking the sway bar endlinks, especially if the car didn't always clunk.

Talk to your service guy.
Here, Scott from the Green team is someoneI trust.
He takes care of my car, and I know there will be no issues.
Screw all the paranoid swapping of parts and tunes.

If you're at all worried, make the appointment so that you know who your service rep is, and call him and ask anonymous questionsto seewhat his position is onall of this.

Part # for the upgraded upper strutmounts is actually 8R3Z-18183-B
If you want, print out the attached work order and take it with you.
