Hot pink on a white car.. now thats unique!

 

I'm a little different.....ok, a whole lot of different.... but I do like pink.

 

I love it!... The pink white and black chrome work really well!

How did you go about getting them Prepped And Painted... Did you grind down any of the pitting... And what kind of paint did you use

 

I took the brake pads completely out of the calipers, then I cleaned them really good to get the grimey stuff off. I didn't do any other kind of special prep work.

I used the G2 brake caliper paint. It is a brush-on type of paint. Only thing is...it took me a lot longer than I thought it would! So far no problems with fading or chipping.

Thanks for the compliment~! I do love the black chrome....I currently have my original wheels on because I didn't want to damage the black ones at the dragstrip~!! The black chromes are my favorites~!

 

I painted mine today and dont like them.I think this cover looks a lot better.

lol...maybe its the red I dont like...I may have picked the wrong color. I am going with a silver cover.

 

I just got the Duplicolor Kit. Pretty complete with brake cleaner, paint brush, paintand even masktape. Guy at Auto store said lots of ppl say lot of good tings about the kit.

Go to a art store and get yourself another brush. The one in the kit looses a lot of hairs. I wasremoving hairsall throughout the painting job. A small thin brush would have also been helpful for the cutting near the pads.

 

Those caliper covers are ugly as hell. For one, they are way too big. Not even the 6 piston brembos or baer calipers are that big. They just scream FAKE!!!! Most people who paint calipers are not trying to immatate big brake kits but rather just adding a little color to the dull looking stock calipers. These covers look like cheap *** big brake kit immatations without the big rotor. The caliper is like twice as big as the rotor lol. This is the type of crap I would expect to see on a japanese car with a terminator wing on the back. Just my 2 cents.
