Default Steering Wheel Shake?

whenever i get past 50mph the wheel starts getting a little shake to it.
i've just had the wheels rebalanced and they were off by a hair but it made no difference when back on the car

any ideas as to what it is or should ford be lookin at her?

Find a shop that had Road Force balancing and get them road forced. It will make a huge difference.

Centric balancing is the best. Is the tire wear abnormal? Did they remount the tires to specs or did they screw up and warp the rotor?

tire wear is normal, rotors will be checked soon but i doubt warpage since there no pedal vibration, just steering

Did ya pull of the rotor keepers before ya mounted those aftermarket rims?

FYI, the RoadForce balance will help identify a tire or wheel that's out-of-spec. Once the RoadForce balance determines that all is well, then a standard spin balanceshould beall that's required.

My guess is the rotor clips ("keepers") shown above.

Just for the purpose of weeding out a problem wheel/tire, bring your fronts to the rear and rears to the front and see if that makes a difference. Also put the stockers back on if the previous step doesnt prove anything. That will let you know if its the car or the wheel/tire setup. When I get rims, and I usually go through at least 4 sets per car, I put each wheel on the balancer and spin them w/out tires to see if they are out of round. You might want to do that as well.
