Default Too short of throw??

Okay, so I installed my Hurst about a month maybe a little more ago. Ever since, when I go WOT from 1st, and shift into 2nd, more often than not 2nd gear grinds horribly. I'm pretty sure this is because of the movement of the tranny not settling before I go to throw it in, thus the need for subframe connectors w/ torque limiters, but that is my best guess, am I right in that? I don't think it is a problem with the shifter, but hopefully someone can let me know?! I'm getting tired of it doing this especially since it happened twice on a cruise yesterday haha.

I have the same thing happen in my solstice GXP on occasion.......of course, it's not the mustang and no shift kit but at least it's the same symptom. For what it's worth, it doesn't happen all the time and fairly certain that in my case at least it's due to sloppy shifting (rushing the shift, pulling off the clutch a ms too soon)

I don't think its honestly driver error though, so hoping to find out the real problem. Maybe it is, but I'm thinking it isn't, for now haha...

you do not need subframe connectors at all. Just get the che torq limiters and brace and that should take care of the problem

Can someone chime in here that it is really just the need of torque limiters to solve this problem. I have the same issue but it happens alot more then I am comfortable with.

The CHE piece will completely solve this issue. When I installed it on both of my cars, one had the Hurst and the other had the stock shifter, and both were grinding at high RPMs. They both have Hursts now, but it fully solved it on both cars.

Awesome, how hard is it to get them on? And you do have to weld in the torque limiters right??
