Default torque converter or nitrous kit

kind of dissapointed with my track times lately... last time out last friday was too hot and it showed on my times.. quickest that night was 13.5... best the car has done so far is 13.3 - car is an auto. think the launch is what kills me since i can't take off at high rpm's like the manuals. i might buy a torque converter soon but was also thinking of getting a nitrous kit for the track.. i can get the kit and have it installed for free. just want to dip into the 12's the next time out and need some help.. running 18x10 rims with nitto 555 295/45/18 tires right now...

go mods include
JLT II CAI
91 octane bamachips race tune
4.10 gears
upper and lower control arms
spyder driveshaft
MAC offroad H prochamber with mac axlebacks

tried the search feature but it's not working right now.. want some more info on the torque converter since i'll have to pay for install as well for that..

Ouch, i would think the 4.10s and spydershaft help you out alot, but i guess it doesnt. All i have (that would help times i believe) are C&L and Bama tune and LCAs(i think thats i i have lol) and i run 13.5 all day and sometimes hit 13.4. I take out the rear saleen rims and pop on some stock ones for the track btw. With the saleen rims, my car is slow as a monkey.

oh btw, go with the nitrous. My brother is giving me his but I am too lazy to get it installed and tuned. It would pop you into twelves easily. If i did my research correctly a TC would make your ride rougher, is that what you want?

I didn't notice any big difference in my PI triple disc torque converter, you feel and hearit lock and unlock but thats about it.

Go for the gas brother! You will dip solidly into the 12's...that is a ton of bang for the buck!

HEAT is a big factor down here in bakersfield.. temperature is always over 100 degree at the track right now... think i'm set on a nitrous kit right now.. get paid tomorrow so i might pull the trigger and have it ready by the next track date...

If it's regularly driven on the street, then I would stay away from a torque converter. Taking the car up to 3,000 rpm or whatever at a stoplight every time you take off is going to get annoying. I would not want to live with that much throttle lag on a day-to-day basis.

Nitrous on the other hand won't impact daily driving at all. It seems like that would be the way to go.
