Roush/Saleen
Is it possible to send my 06 GT in anywhere to have it upgraded to a Roush or Saleen, or better? Or do you have to buy the kit in pieces and have someone put it on? I was looking at a Roush dealer website and getting info on their kits, but I was looking for a more powerful Supercharger than the Stage 3 and R427 kits had to offer. I live in the Tacoma area of Washington.
it wont be authentic because it wasnt from the roush/saleen factory originally.
just create something original the way you want it. say you like the gt500 front end with the roush spoiler a steeda hoodand saleen rear bumper and exhaust with a ken bell s/c. that would be an original that you can be proud of. (that would probably look wack but you knw what im tryin to say.

What are you saying upgrade it to a Roush or Saleen or better?
Not following you on this one. No matter what you do ... your car wont be a Roush or Saleen per say.
The cars come with numbers etc to make them official. They make a certain amount of them.
No they aren't as rare as you think either so don't let it bother you. But there are some such as the Roush BlackJack that
are very rare.
You won't be able to make it an official this or that.. but you can put those parts on.
Some dealerships are authorized Roush and Saleen dealers and they may put them on for you, you have to ask them.
You will be paying alot more though than putting them on yourself.
As for the supercharger...well you need to do real research as there are different types of SC's (roots, twin-screw)
But what Roush offers will be on their website, and what Saleen offers will be on theirs.
They are not known to the the best superchargers out there as far as power numbers but the new Roush that
offers up to 700hp is a very impressive SC, thing is it has not been out so the real street info isn't available.
But if you want the name on your car, Roush, Saleen and want everything to correlate with it...
then you just get the best THEY have to offer. Again the new Roush SC looks very promising. VERY.
You could get the body kit that you wantedand then get a seperate supercharger kit from Roush that included the new SC.
Or you could do the same with what Saleen offered.
But no... you car will never be an OFFICIAL roush or saleen, or anything else.
Officially... it is a GT.

roush has a new SC out now which looks pretty good.
i'm sure there are shops out there that can put on a SC, body kit, suspension to make it look like a saleen or roush, but like TK said above it wont be authentic.

As far as I know Roush does not take a customer car an upgrade it to a Roush. They will sell you all of the parts to do it on you own but in the end it isnt a real Roush but not sure if that really matters. I like that they will paint all of the pieces so the parts show up ready to go. Only thing I dont like about Roush is they charge a lot for parts. Anyway best of luck and am sure the car will lookd great.
ya just find whatever body kit you like most and find a place to do it.. it depends where your from.. there's plenty of shops that are specifically for mustangs, and even more specifically roush or saleen mustangs.. like by me JDM does a lot for mustangs but are def known pretty well for saleen.. also the dealership i got my car is a certified roush dealer and said that they could install the body kit for me.. but like the other guys were saying, you can basically make it look like one but it won't make it official.. so if you want you can just take whatever things you like most and put them all together
for the supercharger, just do some research.. figure out which kind of supercharger you like best (centri, roots, twin screw).. do some research to find out the differences too.. then find the best deal you can.. the only thing that matters is what you like because its your car.. personally i like the saleen body kit most and twinscrew/roots SC like the saleen, whipple, kenne bell.. i'd love to have either 3 of those if i just had the money for it =/ *someone buy my notch!!*
