Default Driveshaft Loops, when do you need them at the track.

What are the rules for NHRA for drives shaft loops? Do I need a front and back loops or will a front only work? what the cheaps one that doesn't require me to drill or remove the ds?

Thanks
Ryan

I know a front is required for 11.49 and quicker. 11.50 and slower is subject to rule 2.4, which I'll have to look up. Give me a minute...

I'm pretty sure NHRA requires a front loop if you're running slicks. I'm not sure what the ET cutoff is for non-slicks running cars. I have a BMR front loop but you have to remove the front of the DS to get it on. I'm not sure there is a loop that doesn't require you to remove the DS to install it.

If you're running faster than 11.5 or slicks, you'll need one. If you're running any sticky tire or a one piece, it's a good idea to have at least a front one. A rear one is just extra protection.

Granatelli loop bolts right on using the heat shield studs. No need to drop the driveshaft.

So just using a front loop would pass tech? Using the stock 2 piece shaft.
