Throttle position sensor? Well here's what happened to me. When I bought my 06 GT a week ago, the dumb facks sprayed the entire engine bay as a part of "detailing" it[:@]. This got water on either the connects or actual TPS sensor, which would cause it to short out. I would be driving along, then the car would lose all it's power, stall, and check engine lights would come on. If it didn't stall, the car would lose like 80% of its power. Drove like complete ****. But mine would only do it once, then I would restart the car, and it would be fine. Now that the damn thing has had time to dry out, it doesn't do it anymore. I think the TPS is located alongside the TB. Should be easy to swap out, don't know how much thought...What's yours doing?

i have an 05 gt which had been having the fluctuating idle problem (will go very low then high and back and forth until it stalls) and i thought i fixed the problem by replacing the fuel filter, air filter, and cleaning the throttle body.....started her up and ran really well, then today i go to start the engine and it starts to stumble again and failsafe mode came up but no codes as usual....this has been going on for 3 weeks now....ive been reading online about alot of guys having bad throttle positions sensors so im hoping that is it...otherwise im gonna have to fork up more cash for a mechanic as i am out of warranty with 44,000
