X/H pipe help
please mods do not move this to the V6 forum because most of them either dont know what their talking about or dont have duals thus dont know have them .
I just picked up some (2) muffler Flowmaster American Thunders And I'm going duals .
I'm more considered with power I've heard H pipe for low end torque gains and X pipe for High end hp which has been known for overall better gains and performance also
I'm not quite understanding the hooking up of the pipes.
v6 comes with a Y pipe I can easily see this , how much cutting / more pipe would I need if I got this setup persay

I see how they connect to the cats at the front , then make a X, but from there I would need extra pipe before the mufflers correct / would I/ the muffler shop use my stock piping and just weld it to the new X pipe.

RE: X/H pipe help
to run an x pipe you will need to get the drivers side mid pipe. you can pick one up at the dealer. I ran an x pipe setup on my '06 v6 mustang and it sounded pretty good. for the sixxer I would definentally go x pipe though. at most you'll get about 2-3 more hp out of it but still you wont gain anything from an h pipe. I just run an h pipe with my longtubes now because I wanted the deeper sound with the v8

RE: X/H pipe help
I see so where the 2 pipes meet and are close the left side would run into the pipe I already have on my car right now , but I would need another one just like it to run to the drivers side .
also are there any non off road X/H pipes , all brenspeeds setups say no cats , but I want to keep my cat converters
