Worry more about being safe than getting pulled over, as long as as the lights can be seen well enough to be safe, chances are you won't get pulled over. Many, many guys here have tinted their tails to different shades, and I can't think of one that has posted up that they got pulled over for it.

Where did you get the covers? Do they stay on well and fit well? I want to get some but I havnt yet because I dont want to give the police a good reason to pull me over.

I've had the covers on 3 vehicles now, and have not had any problem. You can see them easy during the day. They are easy to clean, and fit well.

I like the tint...I ordered mine from ebay too,I ordered for all my lights. I'm afraid to tackle the project myself because I don't want to mess it up. Any advice???

yeah i woudln't worry about the darkness, i know two guys who did theirs with 5% and i did two other guys tail lights with 5% and they have been running aroudn for over a year with no trouble.

I haven't used the vinyl tints, but it can't be that hard. Be sure to use a soapy water solution, have a dry rag handy and I think those kits come with a small squeegee. Have faith in yourself
