ORIGINAL: Riptide

Where are you getting the gears installed? How much money?
Buddy of mine, Tim Vallie, Vallie Automotive Center.. He said around $250, but I don't know if he is giving me a special price for a friend or if thats what he would charge anyone..Gears cost $138 from Brenspeed, and the master install kit with the Royal Purple, shims, seals, bolts, etc is $100. So all told just under $500. I ordered the gears myself, he got the kit for me locally. I trust him, and that is whats really important..

Let me know what happens please. My roomate wants to put gears in his car but Archie Cochrane wants $800 labor to do the install. If he could get a good deal from Tim then he might want to go that route.

I will try to send you a private message with his number.. just call him and tell him that Dave Kersten gave you the number, and ask what he would charge.. he can get all the parts if need be and is as competitive as a retailer can be.

Awesome! glad to see someone else from billings in here.. I do want to do Gears, LT headers, and driveshaft fairly soon.. I basically put off doing gears only because I was told there is no good place in town to get them done. Make sure you stop in here regularly.. tons of great info on here.
