Default Rear Diffuser ?

Is there a rear diffuser besides the gt500 bumper replacement?

I dunno I might end up fabricating my own, maybe there is a kit, any info would be appreciated. $600 for a dam bumper just seems like to much when I have a perfectly good bumper already. Paint costs to much these days. I want it mostly for appearance purposes, but the functionality of it is not unappealing.

thanks

Much like Ricer picnic-table wings, I don't thinkdiffusers have much aerodynamic effect on our "Bricks".

Despite that,I do think they look nice (The diffusers, not helicopter-landing-pad-wings) and I do know that some guys are running some different types. For the life of me I can't think who right now but I'm sure they pipe in soon

I would get either the street scene or 3d carbon diffuser. They both look really good.

I also love this mrt one but im not sure how to get a hold of it(if anyone knows, let me know)

Will the 3d carbon fit my v6 rear bumper?

I've got duals, and I want the black trim look all the way around.

Nope. it wont fit unless you have the GT rear bumper. The diffuser attaches to the lip of the GT bumper, but the v6 bumper doesn't have a lip so there's nothing to attach to. You could try it anyway, but since the v6 bumper is smooth all the way down andaround, i think you're gonna have a hard time getting it to work out like you'd want it to.

dont let me crush your dreams though haha

what if he just put 3m tape along the backside of the diffuser? I think it would hold ok

well the problem is the difference in slope of the bumpers.
the v6 bumper has a more rounded effect in the back, wheras the GT bumper has a pretty vertical slope with the lip that sticks out on the bottom. so if he were to attach it to the v6 bumper i'm afraid it would tend to try to fall/lean over backwards... (or forwards off the bumper)... meaning the bottom of the diffuser piece has no support, so it moves toward theunder side of the car, pulling the top off away from the bumper.

i can say, however, that i'm surprised at what you can get glue and 3M tape to hold......so if you've got the time and the $$$$ you can always just order it and test fit it before putting it on for good......but i'm pretty confident it would never fit just right

good luck though man haha
