hey hawkx8, not sure about the power
but i'm curious how the install went...
did the hangers line up nicely or did you
have to do some persuading

Everything went actually very well. I made the mistake of putting the hangers back on the car before putting the boomtubes on but as long as you stick thehangers on the boomtubes first, you should be ok. Also, make sure you tighten the clamp around the pipe extremely tight because that is what keeps it sturdy.

Did you check for leaks?

Where would a leak be coming from? Where the boomtube attatches to the H pipe? Those are as far on as they will go and clamped hard!

w/ the straight thru muffler delete, you may lose a minimal torque on the low end but gain on the top end, but w/ just axle back change the power loss/gain shouldnt be that much at all. the loss would be minimal if anything, i dont have any actual numbers on this. i didnt feel any loss when i put them on. i dont think that you could feel the difference being that the power loss is really negligable.

how's the sound of the BT's compared to stock?

it could be the sound is making you back off the accellerator. i know when i'm in a town street, i am afraid to really press the throttle a lot for fear of attracting too much attention bc of the noise so the accelleration isnt as great.

I have fallen in love with the sound. And you may be correct on not wanting to punch it du to noise.

Yes you will lose some torq down low and yes you will probably feel it. Not the first to report this.

CAI couldnt hurt.
it will definately get you more power.

i was actually thinking of doing a dyno test, changing out my boomtubes for some chambered mufflers on our next dyno day to see if there is any difference in numbers. same dyno, same mods, only difference would be the mufflers.
