Default WMS Ram/Cold Air

Anybody have experience with this set up? http://www.wmsracing.com/wmsweb/05hvi.htm

Seems like a great idea to get OUTSIDE colder air to the intake.
Does this offer improved performance over a typical CAI installation?
Looks like you need to move a few things around, did you have any problems?

A few of the guys I meet with on Wednesday nights here in Calgary use this setup and rave about how good it is. You do have to re-locate the washer fluid container I believe but all the necessary hardware comes with the kit.

Also, the guys from WMS are pretty solid and know what they are doing. Just check out their "Vanquished" mustang project online (it was at SEMA) to find out more.

The other plus of this setup is that it doesn't need a tune

The picture they show appears to be of their CAI with the larger inlet that DOES require the tune. Since they state that the unit they offer that DOESN'T require the tune doesn't change the inlet size, I doubt it does any more than any other non-tune required CAI. But it does look cool...

I'd be curious to see the stats on how their tuned unit compares to other CAI & tune combos.

If I install the WMS unit, a tune will go along with it.

You have to relocate the coolant reservoir to where the stock airbox is.

Hey bb816331
how do you place the actual picture in the post, instead of a link. I've been trying this but my pictures always end up in a link.

Find the picture you wish to use. If the picture is on your hard drive, you will need to upload it first (try www.putfile.com or www.photobucket.com). If you found the picture online somewhere, or you hosted it, right click the image and select properties. Highight and copy the URL address.

Now, click on the symbol. It will have you paste the link into it. Click ok, and viola!
