Default holding rpms..anyone else?

i have several tunes but my favorite is the 93 race tune by doug...the only problem is the lack of ability to hold the rpms at a standstill.....my brenspeed tune can hold it on the money but is weaker,imo.....has anyone else "noticed" this with the doug race tune.......any suggestions?

Just go into your tuner and move the idle rpm up 100 rpms and see if it still bounces. Then if it still bounces, up it another 100 rpms. If its still messed up, doug might have messed up with the injector turn on/ turn off parameters in your tune. Give him a call.

sounds good.....yeah, at a dead stop it is almost impossible to get the car at any rpm and hold it(yes, i have owned many cars and know how to drive)....the gas pedal is sooooo sensitive it takes forever to get it to 2500 rpms and try to mantain that......so, consistant trap times are impossible......

no one has ever experienced this
i will call doug tomorrow..........just wanted some input

MSD Launch Master will cure that.

I have noticed the same thing on mine. I try to get my rpm up to say 1500 by barely pressing the pedal, but it keeps going.......or....I have the rpms at about 2500 and try to slowly bring it down to 1500 but it just drops off close to idle. It's like the throttle sensor is only sensitive to movement and not position.

What gears do you have? I notice it's harder to hold it with the 4.10's and race tune on the '05, vs 3.31's and race tune on the '07. But if you're wanting consistent launches, you need a 2 step.
