Default Engine is hesitating and threw a code

Need some advise on the problem. My car started hesitating at partial throttle and will also fall flat on its face when at WOT high in the RPM range. This started a few days ago and the car finally threw a code "P0193 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input." What could cause this? Dirty fuel system or something worse. I had a 93 oct tune in the car and when the hesitation first started i went back to stock and the condition was still there. My only mods are and off road H and UDP's. Thanks in advance.

I would start right at theFR pressure sensor, as it's most likely shot. Shouldn't take but a couple minutes to swap it out.

Thanks for that link it really helped.. discovered the wire connector is bad not the sensor.... Ford has the connector for $36 and my dealer would replace it for 1 hour of labor... sound fair?

I don't know about the hour to repair it. That seems quite lenghty to me just to replace a connector but I suposse it depends on how hard it is to get to it. I think I would just buy the new connector and do it myself.

One hour is pretty much the minimum a dealer charges for labor on anything. So thats to be expected. But it is easy enough you should be able to accomplish it by yourself and save the $100 install + tax.
