Question about TSBs
ORIGINAL: Puddle356
bleh, I'm really getting frustrated with this now. I paid the $100 and called a ford rep, they looked up my VIN and told me I dont have the front end tsb. and after a conversation with them all they did was send my complaint back to my dealership. when I asked the guy at the dealership "so I'm going to have to pay $100 every 6 months basically for this problem" he just said "well good thing you got the extended warranty" wtf...

They fixed one side under warranty, then the other side was exhibiting the problem after the warranty expired, so you paid for that. That seems fair, I guess, although if they were thorough they would've checked both sides when you first had it there. If either side is doing it now, I'd say that would be on them, because it's a repeat visit for a problem they've already worked on. They don't get to charge you to fix the same thing repeatedly.
And if the strut mounts are the problem, I'd say that would be on them too since you have a documented complaint when the warranty was still in effect that they ignored the TSB for and didn't fix. They don't get to charge you for incorrectly diagnosing problems that were discovered when the warranty was still in effect.
