Default Optima Battery?

Anyone install an Optima battery? I've been thinking about getting one (mostly just for the looks) but wanted to know if they wil fit without modification to the factory battery tray. So if you have one, let me know how it fit. Post some pics ifyou have any!

i ran optima in my bronco for a while. the first one just went dead one day for no reason and wouldnt hold a charge after that. the 2nd one would loose its charge for no reason. the bronco never sat for more then a day. i know there are a few other people that had optimas and hated them. keep the factory one till you need to replace it. it dose the job fine

Optima batteries are expensive due to their construction. They are designed for rugged use where vibration, hard knocks and bouncing is common as in off road activity and marine use where the watercraft is undergoing constant wave impact. They do look cool but, you will be better off with a good "road car" battery. Save the money for something better.

i got a red top had it in 3 vehicles and still working great i think its better then the stocker just have to remove the to side things on the batt tray it drops it down lower and gives it a better fit. i think they are worth it but thats me. diff strokes for diff folks

As long as you get the same Group nubered battery, it will have a stock fit. Optima's come in all Group sizes. I run them in my boat, dually, fifth wheel, and semi truck. They're great!

They are a good battery. Maybe overkill for the stang. My Jeep diesel came with one 2 years ago and has performed flawlessly.
