Yellow top for low steady current draws such as trolling motors.

The high current motor starting draws on a yellow top is not good for it. [

I have hadoptimas in three vehiclesand not sure I will ever use them again.
1. A S10 Blazer on air ride suspention. Had 3 in there. ! for primary and two for the bags and compressors. the 2 in the back would never hold a charge right. They were both yellow tops and been replace a few times but still the same issue. I replaced them with some cheap wal-mart battteries and they lasted for over a year before I sold the car. I think they are stilll going!
2. A 1956 Chevy Bel-Air. This one was a Redtop that ran the motor, alarm and a nice audio and video system, but everytime I left the car un started for more than a week it would die. I thought maybe the alarm so I disconnected it and replaced the optima with a new one. Same problem. So I finally replace it with an Interstate that a buddy of mine gave me, and now the car sits for about a month at a time and still starts every time!
3. The last one is a 96 GMC x cab fullsize with a blower and never had an issue as it was my daily until it was about a year and a half old then I need to replace it[:@]
