While I'm doing the 2.8L KB!!!
So my mammoth 2.8LKB showed up the other day!

However, my project kind of changed a little......
I have decided to Port and Polish the heads and install stage 3 comp cams. While I'm at it I'm going to be putting in a 5.4L Monster Mod shortblock from MMR!
MMR 5.4 Monster MOD 1500-2000HP!! 2V, 3V or 4V
*Cast Iron Block FULL RACE PREP, de-burred and custom Hone for Chrome faced ringset.
*New 4340 4.165 stroke Forged Crankshaft, FULL RACE PREP- includes additional heat treat w/micro polished journals, shot peened and magnafluxed at no extra charge
*New 4340 6.658 Manley Pro-series Billet Rods ( These US made rods are shotpeened, magnafluxed and weight matched to bring you the finest I-beam rod available for your 5.4), MMR gives the rod a final deep tempering to increase strength up to 300%
*New Forged Manley or Diamond 2618 Custom pistons 3.552-3.572 Bore size .08 Deck (High or low compression)

Let me clarify.
Yes I have a GT500 motor in my car currently making 670rwhp. I am going to port the heads and install cams on my existing 4V heads. I am installing a built short block so I can turn up the power. The GT500's weak point is still the rods, the pistons are ok, for the most part. The new shortblock will come with better components then the GT500 shortblock I have. I will then get my existing block reworked with new components for another project I am looking at or as a back up.
I am really wanting to hit 900+ rwhp with the blower and spray through the automatic trans. I just didn't want to chance that with the stock block. I figured I'd rather have a spare shortblock then a piece of junk when I kicked a rod![:@]
