Default vinyl / thinner

OK need some help here,

my white stripes have been looking rather gray. I have tried a variety of cleaning products but it seems nothing would get them gleaming white, like when they were new. This morning out of sheer desperation, I took a rag with a dab of paint thinner and rub it on a small part of the stripe making sure not to touch the paint. It really looks white again, but im afraid it will cause cracking or some other horrible result.

Any opinions out there?

And yes, I am thinking about getting them painted....

Take them off now bro. Once they start to spot they will start to get all dried up and will be hell to remove later.

It has happened to me and I can tell you I wish I would have taken them off at the first sign of staining...

My stripes have spots as well, I'm thinking of pulling them off too. They have been on since spring of 07.
