Received a couple e-mail questions on something.

So I just wanted to add something to be clear on my above post (for built motor) from my understanding if you put this S/C on a S 197 the min rwhp will be around 510 detuned from around 540rwhp. If you wanted to run say 450rwhp my understanding is that will not be possible at the present time with the TVS S/C unless a new pulley setup is designed ( if possible) or comes out, this s/c setup at it lowest (psi - pulley) starts at 540rwhp (detuned 510 rwhp) on a factorystock S197motor. You can't go by the Roush S/C HP numbersits on a different built motor (specs comp)vs a stock motor.

The above is only imo from my understanding on this TVS S/C.

Not too sure about this....This blower is on the new Roush P-51A.....It is pushing 510hp at the crank not rwhp...That is on a built motor also..They say it comes out of the box with 510hp,and up to 700hp,so if they were talking rwhp,,,your talking almost 800hp at the crank...That doesnt sound right to me....What they were talking about was crank hp..You can't get a pulley big enough on there to take the hp down to 450(again not rwhp)....This blower is a 2.3L,and the older M90 is a 1.6L

if you are correct, Brian76, in the crank hp not rwhp, then the numbers are a lot like the 2.3L whipple. on the whipple website they claim 700 hp capability also. i have read the same about the P51A roush 510 crank hp. but should be interesting how it plays out.

Brain I am talking on a stock factory S197 motor the TVS s/c will put out 540 rwhp you can detune it to 510 rwhp at the min.In my post aboveI said you can't compare this to the Roush car at 510 hp, that is a built motor (comp specs)running 8.6 CRthe factory stock S197 runs around 9.7 CR that is the reason. I don't know where your getting the 800 crank HP at 510 rwhp/ 540rwhp on a stock S197 that is around 586/621 crank HP on a stock S197 motor. No right now you can not get a bigger pulley to drop the rwhp down to 450rwhp the lowest pulley psi is 540/510rwhp and you go up around another 1-10 psi if you wanted but down as of now.

Once again this is imo from what I understand to be the case.

Bingo. I personally saw this roush blower on a p-51 put down 439whp on a dyno. I do not know anyone from JDM personally nor do I work for their competitors but they might be fudging the truth on this one to push sales in a slumping economy. The p51's have been out for a while with this blower, why hasn't any of them put these kinds of numbers on a track? With a built factory motor no less...

I just read it. I probably posted my reply soon after yours popped up. Watch these shops man... They will tell you all about what you'll be able to do but they won't tell you "what exactly" stock means. It's like the shop with the fastest GT500 right now saying their shelby has a "stock" motor.. Well they left out the fact that that is their 4th "stock" motor in that car...

I figured you might of missed it. They are a couple of other things that play a part in that Roush motor along with the CR but the Cr is the main reason.

On the GT 500 I figured as muchbecause if you watch the video of the 8 second run they say the supplied 5.4 motor by ford!
I take /took that statement in the videoin mymind as not the orignal motor that came in that car.
