Default What to do with the Insurance check???

Decisions, decisions...

Ok, here's my dilemma. Last week, some genius lady hit me while my car was PARKED. I took it to my body guy and he gave me an estimate for $739. The damage really isn't bad at all. Since my car is black, you'd have to stare to notice the scratch. (see attached pics).

My only issue is the bumper has about a 1/8 inch gap in between the light and needs to be reset. Assuming I can fix that myself, which I am almost positive I can, what should I do with the money from the insurance company? I am positive that I 'want' to get the GT500 front end conversion, but thats not exactly cheap and I'm not sure if its wise to do that now.

What say ye, my Mustang Brethren?

Poll is not working. I would get the car fixed. I, for one, would be pissed every time I washed the car and saw that spot. But hey, that is just me.

I don't know if the polls work or not. Cash in the bank is always a good thing and little scratches and imperfections can always be fixed later.

Fix it. This is the one chance you'll have the cash to get it done right.

Well even if you do decide to fix it I couldn't see that being a $700 repair so it looks like you could pocket some of the money even if you do fix it. As for myself, I couldn't live looking at it. If my car so much getsa finger print on it I am disturbed.

Yeah I hear you... my thing is this... I KNOW I'll be doing the GT500 front fascia in the next coming year or so. Soooooooooooo, I almost feel like I'm wasting the $ by having it fixed[&:]. I guess I can sell my Roush fascia for a couple hundred..

Well since pocketing the money is "insurance fraud". the option you have is get it fixed.
Im amazed at how many people try and commit fraud these days.

Arent you a Lawyer????
