Default 18th Birthday coming up for my boy...ideas for the GT

I just wanted to feel out the team on some mods I was going to do for my boy next week.
His Mom is taking him to New York for a Yankees game before they tear down the old girl and move to the new stadium.
I've been talking to the Roush dealer here in Birmingham and I think I'm going to go with the following and I'd like the crew's thoughts:

Roush spoiler
Roush exhaust
Roush Billet pedal set (dead pedal included)
Total for all this is around $1,200 for parts and labor.
Would you do something else?

P.S. mods on her right now are FR springs to lower the ride, some billet accents inside the car and hood pins.
I don't want a tune right now because he is 18 and 300HP is enough right now. Maybe later.
Thanks for reading and your thoughts
J

I was going to recommend the tune before i read your post so you ruined my idea

However, I think i should point out that the Roush exhaust matches up to the Roush bumper...right? I could be wrong but I think you'll need the bumper too.

That's what I thought...but the dealer showed me a cat back Roush system that works with the factory bumper.
By the way, it sounded AWESOME!

eh for $1200 i think you can do better than a spoiler exhaust and accents...i would say some new 18 inch wheels, or a street scene body kit...he can do his exhaust himself as he can save up for a little while and buy it or a diff one, but if i had $1200 to spend i would def buy either new wheels, or a full out body kit...jmo

Damn. I wish I had u as a Dad when I was 18 lol I bought a 01 Harley davidson edition F-150 as my own grad present but I wanted a GT sooo bad. Insurance woulda killed me. As long as he treats it right. I think your birthday gifts sound great. he will marvel over the exhaust long enough before he gets the mod bug lol

will you adopt me?

Anyway... that isway better than yankee tix ( and i'm a yankees fan ) you got the mother beat! The axle-back takes about 10 mins to do. you can save on that. But intalled and all that preped and the spoilerproperly painted soundsa lil over. I'd throw in some louvers. Not a fan of the 1/4 windows at all! and it wouldlook badass. If you go with wheels you'll need tires and will double your budget.

Well depending where you live, I live in NY so I wouldnt get the rims or the bodykit seeing how the winter is coming, and it would just get ruined by the weather, Why not Buy Him a AVIC-D3 for 700 and HID's for the Headlights and Fogs...200, and then Buy eibach Pro-kit for 200 plus another 200 will cover the install....that right there adds up to......1300...and I think thats a good amount for that price
