Default ipod adapter

Sorry i know this has been asked before but i cannot find it. what is the ipod adapter called that works with the stock headunit and does anyone have a link.

Two questions....
1. I have the Shaker 1000, is there room for the adapter box behind it?
2. Where did you run the iPod connecting wire to? Glovebox?
