Default Dte Fli Data error? HELP!

I was driving home tonight (rainy, thundery night) and all of a sudden my headlights and radio goes offand a message in my info center displays, "dte fli data error". I pull over to the side and quickly begin seeing what the hell is going on. It also says low fuel, low oil, parking break on. All of which was incorrect. I re load my tune (always have my X cal 2 with me) and turn the car back on everything is fine...for a minute then once I get back on the road same **** happens.. headlights go off, radio, everything. I pull over once more and turn off the car - wait and everything is fine again.

Then finally when I was getting on the highway happens again THIRD time in 5 minutes. Then magically everything comes back on within 30 seconds I'd say.

So I need help, what the hell is going on?

Did my car get struck by lighting? It was lightning and raining all night....and it messed up all my car's electronics...
OR
Is my battery going dead?

Not to mention I have an after market alarm and past 2 days when I lock and unlock my car It usually beeps twice, it hasn't been doing that...It does still lock tho so maybe I just need a new battery?

Thanks so much guys, sorry it was long.

-Chris

I just read somewhere that the code means:

Distance To Empty Fuel Level Indicator Error

It might be the fuel pump? A bad sending unit..

Any ideas or anyone think that is the problem??

Also It is a 2006 w/ under 20k miles so the battery shouldn't already be dead...should it?

Is your passengers side carpet wet?
Remove the passengers side door
threshold and kick panel. Is it all
wet down there by your SmartJunctionBox
that controls most of what you are describing
as going wacky. Check under the carpet and
see if the pad is wet or shows any signs of
previous water damage Check under your pad
for any signs of rust indicating water intrusion.
There is a big water leak problem and a TSB out
for it. 07-14-6
I have the PDF if you need a full readable copy.

I checked this morning and I didn't notice the carpet wet really.

I did notice some water inside the door down where it says "mustang".

Thanks for the repsonse.

I don't know why my alarm would start acting funny tho to at the same time?
