Default Quick help needed. FRPP GTA install

I am installing my FRPP GTA's right now. I have them bolted up and aligned really nice, but don't know how tight to make the clamps. Do I need to tighten the bolt so the clamp is all the way closed? It seems like I need to have them pretty tight in order to make a good seal at the over axle pipe.

I put the same set on my car, I clamped them down as tight as i could get them... The OE set i took off hadthe ends of the clamps actually touching. I couldn't getthe new clamp that tight.

I have them at ~40 lbft, this is the spec that the instructions I found say. But you can still twist the muffler and see some movement at the joint. I am afraid to tighten them much more because I don't want to strip the bolt on the clamp.

I have these also. Do yourself a favor and have them welded on. These clamp on systems always leak.

Tighten till they strip , then back off a 1/4 turn.

Corsa recommends 45 lb/ft. This is where I have them now. I'm going to test drive so they heat up a bit and re-torque. Should be good then.

Got em done!! I like the sound, not too loud but definitely better than stock. I really like the deep idle now. The 4" tips are really nice too. I didn't even have to play too much getting them aligned to where I liked them. Overall, a really easy install.

Get some clamps like this http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/30732/10002/-1 that is the only way I got my GTAs to seal. The GTAs aren't expanded deep enoughsothe mufflerdoesn't slip on very far, creating a bad seal.No matter how much I torqued them they leaked.
