Default Consol Plastic, Dash Plastic

Seems to be tender to being scratched. One apparently from radio change out, one from "who knows!" on fake button to right of recycle A/C button.

Anyone else?

Is there a paint or something that make a scratch disappear with minimal show of itself?

TIA

No, I really like it. Wish the CD feature worked a little better. It's been replaced once. Works mostly OK. Doesn't get really "wierd" anymore, but, seems to leave some tracks sooner than it should. 98% OK. Agreed sounds are really good.

Ya know that shaker unit does what it promises... SHAKES... i cant seem to get all the way thru any of my CDR burned music without at least two skips a song the positive tho is the mp3 option... if i fill a cdr with mp3s then i dont get any skips (obviously). anyone else get cdr skips?

My Shaker 500 couldn't handle any of my CDs I burned on my computer. I think they all had the CD label I stick on mine. It does work OK on the CDS I've bought and even shows track and album info as text. My next step is to see if I can convert all my music on my computer to mp3s. I tried the Microsoft Plus! Audio Converter but it wanted licenses for all my music even the stuff I loaded myself. I do like the way I can set the Shaker to increase volume as my mustang's speed increases. And the Mute button comes in handy...

Could you go to a good ford dealer and order another little button?

Dont know about ford, but my 97 Saturn looks brand new. Every little peice that has worn, scratched, etc has been replaced

...Note: O5 Sonic Blue safe at home

Orion...you need to finalize the cd after burning it..otherwise it wont play in any mp3 cd player because the file table wont have been built if it isnt finalized..finalize it and i guarntee it will work for you no problem

If your car has scratches related to the replacement of the radio then your dealer should be installing NEW pieces for you under warranty and THEIR carelessness. My new s281 has a new console, new drivers door panel, new drivers kick plate and soon to be new moldings under the windshield wipers due to their carelessness. Sure there is a lot of plastic on this car the requires more TLC than normal - but there is no reason in the world why you should have to keep a scratched part in/on your new car that was caused by the dealer.
