Sorry for the dumb questions, but this info isn't in my manual ('07 V6 coupe):

1. Is the Shaker 500 limited to CD playback, or will it play MP3s recorded onto DVDs?

2. If yes, does it matter if the discs are DVD-R or DVD+R?

3. Are audio specs for the Shaker 500 available anywhere?

it will play MP3's on CD not DVD.
What kind of specs are you looking for?

I'd like just basic audio specs for the head unit: frequency response, SNR etc. I haven't seen them listed anywhere.

The Shaker 500 is the only thing I'm really growing to hate on this car. For a system with 8 speakers the audio quality is just pathetic. I can't hear squat in the midrange at low or medium volumes, even compared to most basic 2-speaker stock radios I've heard in other cars.
