Angry Insurance says "$1135.40" will be enough...

Anyways, the Insurance Company called me today to inform me they are sending the check for me to get the body work done. They told me after my $500 deductible I will have $1135.40 to use. Basically, they are sending me a $635.40 check.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!!?!?

I told her that it wouldn't even come close to covering my damage and she said that I won't be getting new OEM parts but instead; remanufactured parts. I thought I was supposed to get new OEM, isn't that required?

List of damage:
1-Center "Pony" Grill Smashed In
2-Foglights broken
3-Bumper ripped apart with large holes
4-Hood won't close or open
5-Fenders looked bent away from the hood
6-Drivers side headlight loose

So much for my front end conversion. This is a load of crap. What should I do? is this even legit?

Wow. That really sucks, but it will be back in good shape in no time!

But in the first post, I have a question about line item #4.

If the hood wont close, then it is open.
But if it is closed, then it wont open.
How do you get both wont open or close? It has to do one or the other at least.hehehe

It originally wouldn't close and flew open on the highway! Then I slammed it shut and now it won't open.....

Did you take it to a bodyshop to get an estimate are did you just let the insurance adjuster do it for you? When I wrecked my front end the damage was 4 times the cost you were quoted and the damage was simular.

See! My body shop didn't get an official estimate yet but told me it would be close to $4000. I can't wait to go through this massive struggle.

Well don't sign anything from the Insurance company and don't cash the check. Talk to your agent about your concerns. My insurance company had to send an adjuster to the body shop a couple of times during the process and more than one check was written to cover the damage. The checks were written to me and I delivered them to the body shop. Be patient It will take a few weeks to get the car fixed.

Update:

His car is in the shop.
The radiator support is pushed in and is jamming the hood latch.
We definitely have a supplement and I'm gonna try to work the numbers towards the Cobra front. If not, the CS for sure.

That 500 deductible is hurting our game a bit.

He has the same damage mine had. Was in the shop three weeks. I had mine returned to stock so it was pretty easy.
